The fluorescent light above the studio desk hummed with a low, metallic vibration, casting a cold glare across the glass monitors. Outside the soundproof recording studio, the quiet hum of the production floor faded into the background as David Hookstead leaned toward his microphone. He glanced at the digital clock mounted above the glass wall: 08:14 AM. The date glowed sharply in green LED digits—August 24th.
He smoothed the lapels of his dark jacket, took a quick sip of water, and gestured toward his camera operator behind the main lens.
“Three, two, one… go.”
“Welcome in, everyone,” David said, his voice instantly cutting through the quiet studio with practiced energy. “I hope you guys are doing great wherever you’re watching from. Today I’m filming this on August 24th. All information is up to date as of August 24th, and we have major news as the Russian Air Force has suffered a humiliating defeat. Multiple more aircraft have been blown up for the second day in a row. We made a video yesterday about three fighter jets being blown up. Now we have more aircraft that have been blown up. On top of that, sabotage operations remain, and Russia is racing in its most secretive submarine armed with world-ending weapons that are brand new to the Russian military. So, we got a lot to get into.”

David leaned forward, keying a command into his deck. The lower-third graphic on the broadcast screen updated to read: Phân cảnh 2: Russian Air Force Smacked.
“So, we are going to start with this,” David continued, gesturing toward the monitor overlay on the screen. “What you see here on your screen is drone feed footage from an attack that happened in the early morning hours of August 24th—technically the late hours of August 23rd, depending on where you are in the world. Right. So, Russia was hit by a massive Ukraine attack targeting their air assets. Specifically, right here, what you are looking at is a MiG-29 that was parked that is now vaporized.”
The video feed showed the unmistakable grain of a thermal camera mounted on an airborne strike drone, descending sharply toward a sprawling airfield runway.
“So, here comes the drone,” David narrated, tracking the crosshairs on the screen with his finger. “It’s coming in to the air base, going to show Russian air defenses are no good because they are flying drones right to them. And then right here—we’ll pause right there.”
He hit the freeze-frame button.
“That is the MiG-29 that the drone struck and blew up. So, that is a bigger look at it. Now, obviously, when the feed goes dead, that is when impact was made. So that fighter jet right there has been vaporized and obliterated following a Ukrainian drone strike. But that is not all. We also have this.”
He clicked to the next clip, showing a second set of telemetry lines drifting lower across an open tarmac.
“And now this is very fascinating, and I want to tell you all from the jump: there are some disputes online right now about whether or not this was a decoy helicopter, or if it was a real helicopter that was operational, or if it was a real helicopter that was not operational. Either way, it is a helicopter of some kind. It is a Russian attack helicopter, and yet again also targeted by the Ukrainians. The attack helicopter coming in right here… so the drone is coming in. You’re going to see it coming up. It is a Ka-52 Alligator. And right here—here it is right there. That is the helicopter right below the green bar on your screen. And here comes the drone…”
The crosshairs centered on the distinctive dual-rotor shape parked on the concrete before static wiped out the signal.
“And then the feed goes dead,” David said, shaking his head. “Like I said, there are some indications this was a decoy. You want to destroy the decoys as well. You want to destroy everything, but you want to get the real ones. We know the MiG-29 was a 100% functional warplane in the fight. It is blown up. And then this helicopter, this Russian attack helicopter, is now gone as well. But we have much more to get into. Stick with me. You don’t want to miss any of it.”
He tapped the control panel, switching the screen graphic to Phân cảnh 3: Sabotage Warning.
“Right here we have major news,” he said, turning back to the main camera. “Finland’s prime minister, Petteri Orpo—I believe is how you pronounce his name—warns the threat of Russian sabotage has increased. We’ve been going over the Russian sabotage constantly. Here he says he is more pessimistic after receiving updated intelligence assessments, warning Russia is trying to escalate hybrid activity against Finland and Europe. And then right here, Finnish intelligence sources warned that potential Russian sabotage could target critical infrastructure, including weapons and ammunition factories and military storage facilities. Authorities are treating the possibility of attacks on strategic sites increasingly seriously. We’ve seen multiple ammunition plants get blown up. We just saw one in Italy get blown up, supplying weapons and ammunition to Ukraine and NATO. This is right out of the Russian playbook as they continue to expand.”
David adjusted his stance, pulling up a map overlay for the next segment: Phân cảnh 4: NATO Airspace Violated.
“And then literally today,” David said, pressing his hand flat against the desk, “today the Russians yet again launched drones into NATO airspace in Romania. A drone—a Russian attack drone—ultimately crashed in Galați County near Plopu according to sources cited by local media. So Russia continuing to violate NATO airspace. This of course comes as a surprise to absolutely nobody.”
He clicked over to Phân cảnh 5: NATO On Alert, displaying a flight-tracker graphic showing a tight, looping flight pattern over northeastern Europe.
“But NATO is on its toes with right here another spy plane,” David pointed out. “An RC-135 Rivet Joint. This one belonging to the United Kingdom is swarming Kaliningrad. All eyes remain on Kaliningrad at this time as we continue to wait and see whether or not the Russians will attempt to do something insanely stupid from Kaliningrad. A lot of indications or the intelligence assessment—I should say—show that if Russia launches an assault, it will come from the Kaliningrad region, which is the area of Russia detached from Russia in Europe.”
He paused for dramatic effect, leaning in close to the lens. The studio light caught the edge of a new graphic sliding onto the display: Phân cảnh 6: Russia Deploys Secret Submarine.
“And then right here, check this out,” David said, his tone dropping into a lower, more deliberate register. “This is major, major news as Russia’s doomsday submarine has been sent to sea. It is armed with six Poseidon nukes. The nuclear weapons on this submarine are meant to be torpedoes. Essentially, they’re nuke torpedoes that can cause catastrophic damage. The Russians claiming that they can take out the entire coast—the west coast of the United States of America. It says Russia has finally sent its Khabarovsk nuclear submarine to sea, moving the Kremlin’s Poseidon program into a new phase, with the vessel designed from the start to carry six nuclear-powered strategic underwater weapons. So this is one of their major submarines. It is armed with their most advanced weapons.”
He pulled up an excerpt from a defense publication on the screen behind him.
“And it says: Russia’s highly secretive Khabarovsk nuclear-powered submarine has begun its sea trials in the White Sea, marking the first time Moscow’s purpose-built carrier for the Poseidon strategic underwater weapon has entered sea testing. So they are moving their most advanced submarine. And then right here, some more details.”
He read directly from the highlighted text on his tablet:
“It says: The lead submarine, the Khabarovsk, was slated to be floated in June 2020. However, the launch was delayed until 2025. This class of submarines is based on the Borei-class submarine hull, but is significantly smaller as it does not have the ballistic missile section. Surface displacement is about 10,000 tons, and it carries six Poseidon long-range nuke torpedoes, and will be the second submarine to carry this weapon after the Belgorod. And then right here, here’s some information: It is 113 meters long, 10 meters wide, operational depth of up to 500 meters, and carries a crew of 100. One of them right here, the Khabarovsk, is the one that is now at sea.”
David leaned back slightly, tapping the screen once more. The lower-third changed to Phân cảnh 7: Russia Building New Bioweapons.
“And then right here, I’m going to put this up on the screen for you,” he said, scanning the headline on his terminal. “It says: Intelligence reports show Putin ordered a secret biolab built on an island so protected that fishing is banned and its own guards fear infection. It says Ukraine’s military intelligence says Russia runs a secret biolab complex in the Tver Oblast—an inversion of Russia’s own false claims about Ukraine. Says Ukrainian defense intelligence says it has found evidence that Russia is running a network of secret biolabs on Lizzy Island in Russia’s Tver Oblast, where Russia conducts experiments with dangerous viruses and pathogens for military purposes. So they are now building bioweapons. They are building new viruses, new pathogens, right out of the old Soviet Union playbook. So, obviously something we will continue to keep an eye on.”
He clicked to the final banner: Phân cảnh 8: Reaction.
David clasped his hands together on the desk, looking directly into the primary lens.
“So, as of me filming this on August 24th, we now know the Russian Air Force has suffered a humiliating defeat, losing a fighter jet, a helicopter, sabotage operations are underway, and a secret submarine loaded with nukes has set to sea.
