Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus: The Secret to 27 Years of Love and Loyalty
In an industry where long-lasting relationships are rare, Snoop Dogg and his wife, Shante Broadus, have defied the odds, celebrating more than 27 years of marriage. Their secret? A mix of fun, business, and unwavering support.
“Keep it fun,” Shante, 53, exclusively told Us Weekly at the Choc Factory Cosmetics launch event on February 15. “He’s on the road a lot, so we do have time to miss each other, but just keep it fun and business.”
A Love Story Decades in the Making
Snoop and Shante’s love story began in their teenage years when they attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California. The couple went to prom together in 1989, and eight years later, they officially tied the knot.
Since then, their family has grown to include three children: sons Cordé, 30, and Cordell, 27, and daughter Cori, 25. Snoop also has a son, Julian, 26, from a previous relationship.
Even after nearly three decades of marriage, romance is still alive in their relationship. Snoop recently surprised Shante with a brand-new watch, while she received luxury gifts from Louis Vuitton just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The Key to Making It Last
For Shante, the most valuable lesson she hopes to pass down to their kids is the importance of commitment—through every high and low.
“Just hold each other down,” she emphasized. “That’s what it’s all about. Just stick it out and be there together. You may have ups and downs, but we gotta stick it through. We family, you know?”
Their daughter Cori, who has long admired her parents’ relationship, is now preparing to embark on her own journey. As she gets ready to finalize her wedding plans with fiancé Wayne Deuce, she’s keeping her mother’s wisdom close to heart.
“No matter what happens, stick together, have each other’s back,” Cori told Us Weekly. “It’s not gonna always be ice cream and cake. There’s gonna be problems, there’s going to be bumps in the road, but as long as you guys can get through it, that’s all that matters.”
Carrying the Legacy Forward
Cori and Wayne have also joined forces in business, recently launching their new self-care brand, Choc Factory Cosmetics. The line, which features lip glosses and lip masks, is designed to help women of all backgrounds embrace their natural beauty.
“I think this brand, to make it short and sweet, is really just a brand where we make people feel comfortable and feel like they have a space to fit in,” Cori explained at her launch event. “With society’s beauty standards being so high and unrealistic, we’re giving people a realistic space to be their natural selves.”
Through love, perseverance, and an unbreakable family bond, Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus continue to set an example of lasting love—one that’s built on mutual respect, unwavering support, and always keeping it fun.
