Muslim Man Calls Black Worker a Racial Slur in America — Then Gets a Brutal Lesson!!
A series of viral videos capturing aggressive verbal confrontations between Muslim men and Black individuals has ignited a firestorm of debate across the United States, forcing a raw and uncomfortable conversation about the intersection of religion, race, and the historical legacy of the slave trade.
The footage, which began circulating widely on social media platforms this week, depicts several distinct incidents. In one, a man identified by onlookers as Muslim is seen shouting racial slurs at a Black police officer, calling him a “black mofo” and a “racist bastard.” In another, a group of pro-Palestinian protesters appears to surround and heckle a lone Black man, with voices in the crowd telling him to “go back home.”

While the clips vary in context, they have collectively tapped into a deep-seated vein of tension regarding how Black Americans are perceived and treated within non-white immigrant communities—specifically within certain conservative Islamic circles.
A Question of Identity and Belonging
The controversy took a more theological turn in a segment of the video where a Muslim man openly questions the legitimacy of Black Muslims. Referring to groups like the Nation of Islam and followers of Elijah Muhammad, the man claims they are “away from Islam” and characterizes them as “disbelievers.”
“They claim they are Muslims when they are not,” the man says in the recording. “May Allah guide them to the truth… but they are a disbeliever.”
For many Black Americans, this rhetoric feels like a double erasure. Black Muslims have been a foundational part of the American Islamic fabric for over a century, yet they often face what activists call “double marginalization”—racism from the broader American public and “Arab-centric” or “South Asian-centric” gatekeeping within their own faith communities.
“What we are seeing in these videos isn’t just random anger; it’s the manifestation of a hierarchy that has existed for a long time,” says Dr. Julian Richardson, a sociologist specializing in ethnic relations. “There is a misconception that because someone belongs to a marginalized religious group, they are inherently immune to the racial prejudices of the West. That is simply not the case.”
The Shadow of History: The Trans-Saharan Trade
Perhaps the most provocative portion of the viral discourse involves a historical deep dive into the origins of the slave trade. In the video, a commentator challenges the “white-only” narrative of American slavery, pointing to the Trans-Saharan and East African slave trades managed by Arab and Muslim traders.
According to historical data, the Trans-Atlantic slave trade—the one most familiar to Americans—involved the forced transport of approximately 12.5 million Africans to the Americas between the 16th and 19th centuries. However, the Arab-led slave trade, which began as early as the 7th century and lasted well into the 20th, is estimated by some historians to have moved between 10 million and 18 million people across the Red Sea, Indian Ocean, and Sahara Desert.
“You never hear that part,” the commentator in the video argues, claiming that over 90% of the slave trade in West Africa was facilitated by Black and Muslim traders before European Christians ever arrived.
While mainstream American education focuses heavily on the 388,000 Africans who were brought directly to North America (roughly 3% to 4% of the total Trans-Atlantic trade), the video argues that the role of Middle Eastern and North African actors in this “African curse” is intentionally obscured to maintain a narrative of Western-only guilt.
The “People of Color” Divide
The viral footage also highlights a burgeoning rift in the “People of Color” (POC) coalition. One Black man in the video explicitly rejects the label, stating, “We are not people of color… our way of life and our culture is not the same.” He goes on to argue that Black culture in America is actually “closest of any race to whites,” suggesting that the POC label is a tool used by newer immigrant groups to claim the benefits of civil rights struggles they did not participate in.
This sentiment reflects a growing movement among some Black Americans who feel that the “BIPOC” (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) umbrella serves to dilute the specific grievances and historical claims of descendants of enslaved people.
“There is a feeling of being ‘used’ as a shield,” says Marcus Thorne, a community organizer in Chicago. “You see people who may harbor anti-Black sentiments in private, but then use the language of ‘anti-racism’ to advance their own political agendas. The videos of people telling a Black man to ‘go back home’ at a protest are a perfect, painful example of that hypocrisy.”
Examining the Sources
The final and perhaps most controversial segment of the video features David Wood, a well-known critic of Islam, who utilizes the Hadith (the recorded sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad) to argue that colorism is baked into the faith’s foundations.
Wood cites Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, pointing to descriptions of the Prophet as a “white man” with a “white complexion.” He further references narrations where the Prophet allegedly possessed Black slaves and used derogatory terms like “raisin heads” to describe Ethiopians.
Defenders of Islam frequently point to the Prophet’s “Farewell Sermon,” in which he stated, “An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab… a white has no superiority over a black, nor does a black have any superiority over a white, except by piety and good action.”
However, critics argue that the lived reality in many Muslim-majority countries tells a different story. In 2026, reports of modern-day slavery and the “Kafala” system in parts of the Middle East continue to draw international condemnation for their disproportionate impact on African and South Asian migrants.
A Nation at a Crossroads
The “Brutal Lesson” promised by the video’s headline is less about a physical fight and more about a psychological awakening. For many viewers, the footage serves as a reminder that the United States is not the only place where race and power collide.
“America has spent 250 years obsessing over the white-black binary,” says Dr. Richardson. “But as our country becomes more multi-ethnic and multi-religious, we are discovering that the ‘old world’ brought its own prejudices with it. We are seeing a collision of different types of supremacy.”
As the video continues to rack up millions of views, it has left many Americans questioning the stability of the “progressive stack.” If minority groups are turning on one another using the same slurs and exclusionary tactics they claim to despise, the path toward a unified, multicultural future looks increasingly steep.
For now, the man standing his ground at the protest—surrounded by shouting faces—remains the enduring image of the controversy: a symbol of an individual refusing to be intimidated by a group, regardless of the faith or “marginalized” status they claim to represent.
