Unlock the Potential of Zucchinis for Abundant Harvests:
Zucchinis thrive in full sun and warm soil. Plant them when the weather is consistently around 20-25 degrees Celsius for optimal germination and growth. Midsummer is an excellent time to plant them, as they adore the warmth and quickly produce fruit in the summer months.
Directly sow zucchini seeds in May, ensuring stable weather conditions. However, the timing is crucial; wait until the soil warms up to prevent rotting. Compact bushy varieties are ideal for faster fruiting and can be planted as late as mid-August, ensuring a harvest before fall frosts.
Harvest zucchinis when they reach 15 to 30 cm in length, typically in 45 to 55 days. Regular harvesting promotes more significant production, so don’t hesitate to pick them early and often with a knife to cut the stem without pulling.
Prune zucchini plants during growth to increase sunlight exposure. Focus on removing larger leaves near the base of the plant while retaining the rest for photosynthesis. Removing dead leaves conserves energy for the plant’s growth.
Grow Zucchinis Anywhere with Pots:
