Earlier this week, longtime Yankees play-by-play announcer John Sterling announced his retirement.

Sterling had a 36-year run as the voice of the Yankees, calling 5,420 regular season games and 211 postseason games. According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, there won’t be a rush to find his permanent replacement.
