Curt Schilling confirmed this weekend that he will not be in attendance when the 2004 World Series Champion Red Sox team is honored at Boston’s home opener.

The Red Sox will also honor the lives of Tim and Stacy Wakefield at the game, and in a Facebook post, Schilling expressed remorse over sharing the news of their cancer diagnosis last year when he did not have permission to do so.
