NBA superstar Michael Jordan retired many years ago, but he still has a huge appeal off the court.

According to CNN, Michael Jordan, the legendary former player for the Chicago Bulls, has seemingly always found ways to avoid media attention since he retired from basketball nearly two decades ago.

Recently, Michael Jordan’s former agent said that the former player once refused to attend a public event for 2 hours, even though the job could have brought him a huge amount of money.

In a conversation on WFAN radio’s “Boomer and Gio,” David Falk shared about his former client’s strictness when choosing projects.

“I offered him a $100 million deal three years ago. All he had to do, other than lend his name and stuff, was show up at an event to announce the deal and attend the event for two hours, and he refused,” Falk said, without giving any further details about the deal.

“God bless Jordan. He’s so successful that he has the opportunity to do whatever he wants and say no to things he doesn’t want to do. I really admire that. He’s very selective about what he gets involved in.”

Last month, Michael Jordan’s name was in the headlines after his documentary “The Last Dance” was released.

The ESPN series premiered April 19 and will air on Sunday evenings for five consecutive weeks, through May 17.

For Jordan, the Chicago Bulls of the 1990s remain one of the greatest in sports history. ESPN’s series will reveal never-before-seen footage from the 1997-1998 season, along with interviews with some of the biggest stars./.
