In addition to his famous family ties, Marcus is known for his brief relationship with Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of Michael’s former NBA rival Scottie Pippen. The couple sparked romance rumors in September 2022, and their relationship was confirmed shortly after.

Marcus and Larsa were seen together frequently, though their relationship was met with some tension due to the history between their families. Michael Jordan publicly expressed disapproval of the romance in July 2023, telling reporters that he did not approve of his son’s relationship with Larsa.

Larsa responded to Michael’s comment in a July 2023 episode of her podcast, Separation Anxiety, saying she felt “embarrassed” and “traumatized” by his words. Marcus, on the other hand, interpreted his father’s response as a joke. “I don’t think that my dad wanted to comment on that,” he said during a podcast appearance.

“There’s always that narrative that I’m dating you to get back at Scottie. I think [dad] said ‘no’ in a joking way. I thought it was funny out the jump.”

Marcus Jordan Mugshot:

Marcus and Larsa’s relationship has had its ups and downs, with the couple officially breaking up in February 2024 after rumors of an engagement. Just a month earlier, Larsa had revealed that she had frozen her eggs in case she and Marcus wanted to have children together.

Although they initially separated, the two briefly reunited before calling it quits once again in March 2024. By July of that year, Larsa confirmed their relationship was officially over, telling Entertainment Tonight, “I think it’s off. I mean, it’s off, it is off. I feel like I’m good. I’m good.”

As the news of Marcus’ arrest continues to make headlines, it remains to be seen how it will impact his family and public image, especially as his father, Michael, remains a towering figure in the sports world.
