In the last five years, the Kansas City Chiefs QB has been the undeniable king of the gridiron, clinching three Super Bowl titles and earning three Super Bowl MVP awards. However, one man in the Las Vegas Raiders camp wants to put an end to all of this. He is out on a mission to destroy the Chiefs and their MVP, Patrick Mahomes.
And he has taken a leaf out of the NBA. And the moment he implemented it, it worked! Should the Chiefs start getting scared of their divisional rivals whom they have to twice every season?
Chiefs player hits back against Antonio Pierce

Former Chiefs TE, Jason Dunn, appeared on the “Chief Concerns” YouTube channel. He gave his two cents on the recent video interview by Antonio Pierce. What did he have to say? He wanted to congratulate Pierce for “awakening a sleeping giant”. Pierce’s comments had lighted a fire in Mahomes. As Dunn said, Mahomes was all “we got butts to kick now”, after that. But what elected such a response from him?
Pierce’s comment came during a recent interview where the Raiders coach introduced the concept of “Patrick Mahomes rules.” Drawing parallels to the infamous “Jordan rules” employed against basketball legend Michael Jordan. The strategy, reminiscent of the physicality displayed by the “Bad Boy” Pistons against Jordan, underscores the Raiders’ efforts to challenge Mahomes on all fronts.
During the interview on Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby’s “The Rush” podcast, Pierce elaborated on the concept, saying, “Any time he came to the hole? Elbows, feeling him, love taps, we touched him, we’re in their head, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, I’m touching you.” And it seemed that on Christmas Day last year, it actually bore fruit.
The work of a well-designed strategy

In the lead-up to the Raiders’ showdown against the Chiefs on Christmas Day, Antonio Pierce pulled out a move straight out of a movie. He showed his team clips of Michael Jordan getting knocked around on the court. The last time the two teams met, the Chiefs had emerged victorious. But this time, the Raiders weren’t having it. They came out swinging and gave a Christmas present to the Chiefs.
Four sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown. The Raiders’ defense was relentless. But Pierce wasn’t just trying to fire up his team for one game. He was setting the tone for a whole new era of Raiders football. His “hate the color red” mantra wasn’t just about that one matchup—it was about instilling a mindset, a culture of dominance.

Fast forward to the offseason, and it’s clear the Raiders were impressed. They didn’t waste any time removing the “interim” tag from Pierce’s title, recognizing his ability to inspire greatness in his players and lead the team to victory. Looks like the Raiders are ready to ride the wave of momentum straight into the next season, and you can bet Pierce will be leading the charge every step of the way.
