Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever faced off against the star-stuffed Seattle Storm on Thursday, ultimately dropping to the veteran-filled squad after an 89-77 loss. Clark was asked about the advice she gets from opposing players, and the answer was quite shocking.
“Nobody gives me advice in game. I wish,” said Clark.
Despite not having any advice for her peers, the rookie is averaging 16.3 points and 6.6 assists, leading the class in both categories. The former No. 1 overall pick has helped secure Indiana’s 7-12 record.
Clark finished the loss against the Storm with 15 points, seven assists and six rebounds.

The rookie had a great opportunity to pick the brains of elite-level players like Skylar Diggins-Smith and Jewell Loyd against the Storm. Clark just has yet to be too vocal with her opponents this season.
She has a great relationship with her veterans, such as NaLyssa Smith and Erica Wheeler, but she said she only gets a little help from the veterans on opposing teams.
While it seems rare, players like Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky have received significant tips from players like Tina Charles and A’ja Wilson.
Clark said, “I wish,” which seems like she could certainly use some help in transitioning to the league.
