Eagles Teammates Not Surprised by Jason Kelce’s Shirtless Antics: ‘The Captain!’
Philadelphia Eagles
During the Kansas City Chiefs’ thrilling 27-24 win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional last month, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce was seen chugging beer shirtless in the cold Buffalo weather, much to the delight of many in attendance and watching at home.
For some, it was a somewhat surprising look into what the Eagles center is like when off the field while watching his brother, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, competing on the field.

But for Kelce’s Eagles teammates, seeing him go wild wasn’t a huge surprise.
“I’ve been around him long enough,” Smith told People. “He’ll do that a couple of times.”
Fans of the Eagles, or just football in general, have gotten an inside view into the personality of both Kelce brothers through their popular New Heights podcast.
What the fans still don’t get to see is the leadership presence Kelce brings.
“He’s truly the captain,” Smith said about the All-Pro center. “There’s not much that he doesn’t have a say over, and a guy that’s been doing it that long at that high of a level, you can do nothing but respect it.”
“I’m glad I got to share the field and the locker room with him,” Brown added. “He’s a great person. Most importantly, great leader, great captain, like DeVonta said, he’s really the captain.”
Kelce has yet to announce a decision about whether or not he’ll retire or return to the playing field, but did recently reveal he has a desire to stay with the team in some capacity regardless.
It’s likely he won’t make an announcement while his brother prepares to compete in the Super Bowl for the second-straight season as he and his Chiefs teammates look for back-to-back titles after defeating Philadelphia in the big game last season.
The process of deciding his future isn’t going to keep him from enjoying being a witness to his brother’s success, and his enjoyment won’t shock anyone who knows the Eagles legend personally, as a teammate, and as a leader.
