Albert Pujols, an 11-time MLB All-Star and retired first baseman, sold his enormous Irvine, California property for $8.8 million.

The mansion is about 9,200 square feet with five en suite bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

The half-acre property in the gated Shady Canyon area was purchased by Pujols for $5.5 million in 2012. In 2016, he listed the mansion for $7.75 million, but it never went through. He relisted the property for $9,980,000 in June 2023.

Despite not getting his asking price, Pujols still made a profit of more than $3 million.

First off, there are two offices, a movie theater, a wet bar, and a meditation room tastefully furnished in this opulent home. Additionally, there is a bonus room that could be used as a home gym, kid’s play area, or wine cellar with ease.

There is a grand, double-height foyer with tile flooring and a curved staircase in the entryway.

There is an elegant kitchen, many living areas, a formal dining room, and a laundry room on the main floor.

The gourmet kitchen features a walk-in pantry, warm wood cabinets, a marble-topped center island, and a roomy breakfast nook. There are several entry points to the backyard and a coffered ceiling in the formal dining area. In the meantime, the adjacent sitting rooms feature gorgeous wooden shutters, beamed ceilings, and stone fireplaces.

The main bedroom suite features a wall of windows and a centrally located tub in a spa-like bathroom. There is a laundry room and two walk-in closets in this area as well.

In 1999, Pujols, at forty-four, was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals. He has won the World Series twice and the Gold Glove Award twice. The eventual Hall of Famer spent more than 20 years playing in the major leagues, hitting 703 home runs.
