Over the weekend, Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce participated in the 16th Annual Mike’s Seafood 5K Run/Walk for Autism in New Jersey, and according to him, the walk option was just fine.

Running in support of the Eagles Autism Foundation, Kelce finished the event with a “swift” time of 43:10.

After the race, the 36-year-old NFL star replied to a post on social media clarifying his level of participation in the event.

“Jason Kelce ran a 5K to raise money for autism,” Fox Sports 5 posted on X, prompting the elder Kelce brother to respond. “‘Ran’ is a generous verb for what occurred,” Kelce said, referring to his pace during the 5K. “But we had a blast,” Kelce added.

Kelce, along with his wife, Kylie, have long supported the Eagles Autism Foundation. Back in June, Kelce was joined by his brother Travis for an event that raised over $100,000 for the charity. In November, a kelly green Eagles varsity jacket modeled by Kylie was auctioned off for $100,000, benefiting the foundation. The winning bid was made by Eagles superfans Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

The 295-pound Eagles center did run the fastest 40-yard dash time among offensive linemen at the 2011 NFL Scouting Combine, with a time of 4.89 seconds—not a time that will have him bragging about beating Usain Bolt, but impressive nonetheless.

While he may be staying active during the offseason, Eagles fans still await word as to whether or not Kelce will be returning for his 14th season later this year.
