Patrick and Brittany Mahomes were having the times of their lives at an NWSL game on Saturday, and they hope they have another high-profile friend with them next time.

The Chiefs quarterback and his wife — part owners of the Kansas City Current — helped kick off the brand-new CPKC Stadium in style, and hope to bring Taylor Swift in at some point along the way.

Before Kansas City’s thrilling 5-4 win over the Portland Thorns on Saturday, the Mahomes family spoke on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” about the club — and how they want Taylor Swift at a game this season.

“We might get her here at some point, she’s a busy woman and Travis [Kelce] is a busy guy,” Patrick Mahomes said, as covered by Bleacher Report.

“So, maybe during season or something like that we’ll get her out to a Kansas City Current game. She loves supporting Kansas City just like we do and I’m sure Brittany can nudge her and get her here pretty easily.”

Brittany said the onus will fall on her to get the pop megastar at an NWSL game.

“That’s definitely on me, that’s definitely on me. I’ll work on it, I will work on it.”

But the duo didn’t just talk about getting Swift in attendance at a Current match.

They also got the crowd amped up for the stadium’s opening game.

It was a historic opener at the venue, the first-ever soccer stadium in the world to be built specifically for a women’s team, according to the team.

The stadium holds 11,500 and sold out the opener.

“Kansas City — we’re here, we did it,” Brittany Mahomes said to the crowd over a microphone before kickoff. “I just want to say thank you guys for showing up today. This is history, this is incredible and for you guys to show up for these women in their own stadium is amazing.”

The Chiefs signal-caller then led a raucous chant of “KC, baby!” before adding a “Let’s go!”

As things kicked off, the Current rolled to a win, getting goals from Vanessa DiBernardo, Bia Zaneratto, Kristen Hamilton and Alex Pfeiffer.

The ESPN cameras caught the Mahomes contingent celebrating wildly throughout, no doubt enjoying the festive atmosphere.
