There were times during the 2023 NFL season that Patrick Mahomes looked like an average quarterback. Statistically, it was his worst full season in the NFL. Mahomes set new lows in quarterback rating, touchdown percentage, yards per pass attempt and passing yards per game. His 14 interceptions were a career high. But the most important stat to Mahomes and his teammates is the one that shows three Super Bowl championships in the last five years. To Mahomes, that’s more important than his two Super Bowl MVP Awards and the other individual accolades that have come his way.
