On Monday, Taylor Swift flew from Melbourne to Sydney to continue her Eras Tour in Australia. The Midnights singer boarded her private jet wearing a red T-shirt and short skirt, with a Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LVIII Champs baseball cap over her wavy curls. She was wearing her signature bright red lipstick.
While in Sydney, Swift will be staying in a private residence solo, but she may be joined by boyfriend Travis Kelce now that the NFL season has come to a close. The Kansas City Chiefs player has been staying close to home since the Super Bowl last weekend, but in a recent episode of his New Heights podcast, he hinted at planned travels to join Swift, saying he would “venture to an island real soon.”
Swift’s tour has been extensive, and she recently changed her policy of never performing the same acoustic “Surprise Song” more than once while touring. She announced the change to her stadium of fans this week that there may be some repeats.
“I want to be as creative as possible with the acoustic set moving forward and I don’t want to limit anything or say, ‘If I played this song, I can’t play it again,’” she explained. “So, from now on, I don’t want to take any paint colors out of the paintbox or tools out of the toolbox. I want to be able to play songs more than once if I feel like it and I want to be able to make changes to songs. Does that sound OK?”
Fans were receptive to the decision. In the past, Swift has made comments about how demanding touring can be on her energy, telling Time Magazine last year that she plans “dead days” in between shows.
“I do not leave my bed except to get food and take it back to my bed and eat it there,” she said. “It’s a dream scenario. I can barely speak because I’ve been singing for three shows straight. Every time I take a step my feet go crunch, crunch, crunch from dancing in heels. But it’s the most fulfilled I’ve ever felt.”
