“She’s just been amazing and it’s been so cool to see everybody appreciate her and accept her the way that she is,” Kelce told reporters of his mom

Travis Kelce isn’t the only member of his family with a busy schedule leading up to Super Bowl 2024.

Donna Kelce, mom of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his brother Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles, has had a spotlight on her since both of her sons went head to head with each other in the 2023 Super Bowl.

In the months that followed, the spotlight has only shined brighter on the NFL mom. Taylor Swift and Travis’ romance aside, Donna has successfully racked up several partnerships and collaborations with brands and works hard to promote them across all media.

When asked by PEOPLE at Wednesday’s Super Bowl presser about how he thinks his mom has been handling the increased media attention, Travis replied without hesitation, “Communications major! Where do you think me and my brother get it from?”

Travis went on to praise his mom’s character.

“She’s a saint. My mother’s just an absolute sweetheart,” he told reporters on day three of consecutive press conferences since Super Bowl Week kicked off with Opening Night on Monday.

Over the past month, Donna has teamed up with several brands including Barefoot Wine and Heluva Good! Most recently, she spoke with PEOPLE about her latest partnership with Ziploc as the brand’s new Chief Leftovers Officer.

While promoting her latest projects, Donna’s been asked a range of questions from the media on various topics spanning from her childhood memories of Travis and Jason to her experiences sitting alongside Swift in the suite while they cheer on the Chiefs at games.

“You can ask her anything,” Travis told reporters. “She’s very down to earth, very humble. Will never take the praise, she’ll always put it on somebody else and that’s why we love her.”

He continued, “She’s just been amazing and it’s been so cool to see everybody appreciate her and accept her the way that she is.”

While the Chiefs player undoubtedly has a busy schedule leading up to the Big Game on Sunday — which Donna previously told PEOPLE she’ll be attending to cheer for his son — Travis has been cheering her until then.

“I’ve just been enjoying seeing her with all these ads and pushing her Super Bowl content,” Travis told reporters at the conference in Las Vegas.

Donna recently spoke with PEOPLE about her Super Bowl schedule and why she plans to “take a step back” this year in comparison to last year.

“This year I’m going to take a step back to enjoy it,” Donna told PEOPLE exclusively ahead of Super Bowl Week 2024. “I get to enjoy it this time.”

Rather than overwhelming herself with another hectic schedule, Donna said she plans to “just enjoy some of the fun of Vegas.”

Specifically, she said she’d like to enjoy “some of the shows, some of the different plays and music” that Las Vegas has to offer. But her laid-back approach to the championship week doesn’t mean Donna’s mindset isn’t swirling with excitement.

“It’s very surreal and it has been over the past year… it’s just exhilarating!” she tells PEOPLE just days after the Chiefs clinched the AFC Championship title against the Baltimore Ravens on Jan. 28 to secure their spot in the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in Super Bowl LVIII, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET.
