Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes already planning offseason throwing sessions with Hollywood Brown

The Kansas City Chiefs are trying to three-peat, but doing that will not be easy. It’s not like the last two Super Bowl wins were easy, but if they do it, this third one will be harder than the previous two. And, to do it, they cannot be as complacent on offense as they were at times this last season.

The defense can still be the dominant part of the team like it was in 2023; I’m not saying they can’t. However, the Chiefs need to have an offense that doesn’t get stagnant every single game and nearly lose them games. The bottom line is that it has to be better – so they needed to address the biggest root of the problem – the wide receiver room.

They have already done that a bit and will go through the draft, but some people are sleeping on how big the Hollywood Brown signing is. He can be a portion of what Tyreek Hill was in terms of a deep threat, something the Chiefs did not have last season.

And, the best part is, Mahomes is already looking forward to throwing to him. In fact, he has already started talking to his new receiver about offseason workouts.

“Adding a guy like that that is hungry and ready to work – I have already talked to him, and there will be a lot of throwing sessions in our future,” Patrick Mahomes said on ESPN after the KC Current win. “We are trying to keep this thing rolling. We are going to win this soccer championship here with the women’s soccer team, and then we are going to try and go back to that Super Bowl again.”

Last offseason, Patrick Mahomes was throwing with rookie wide receiver Rashee Rice in Dallas, Texas, all offseason, and it obviously helped by the time the season came. Sure, it helped Rice, as he was the best receiver on the team, but it also helped Mahomes build that trust he needed.

Knowing Mahomes, he will have Brown in the lab with him very soon, which should excite fans.
