Having spent his entire professional career in Kansas City, Sneed has expressed his desire to remain with the team, sending a clear message to general manager Brett Veach.

While other teams have shown interest in acquiring Sneed‘s services, the 27-year-old cornerback prioritizes the opportunity to pursue a third consecutive Super Bowl title with the Chiefs, emphasizing his loyalty to the organization.

“Two is legendary, but three? You never get tired of getting rings,” Sneed told KSHB. “Hopefully I’m with the Chiefs. Hopefully I’m still here and we can go back and repeat.”

Free to negotiate his future

Although the Chiefs have placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on Sneed, allowing him to negotiate with other teams, they have the option to match any competing offers to retain him.

Sneed‘s impact on the field has been pivotal for the Chiefs, with memorable plays such as forcing a crucial fumble during the AFC Championship game demonstrating his value to the team’s success.

Entering free agency on the heels of his rookie contract, Sneed anticipates a substantial increase in his earnings, reflecting his significant contributions to the team’s achievements.
