And the USC quarterback delivered a shock by not saying seven-time Super Bowl champion Brady or Kansas City Chiefs icon Mahomes.

Instead, Williams said New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was his GOAT.

“Football, winning, and things like that, mentality…Tom Brady,” Williams told CBS Sports.

“My football GOAT is Aaron Rodgers.”

In a separate interview with the NFL, Williams said he models his game after Rodgers.

When asked who his favorite NFL player of all time was, Williams also said Rodgers.

“Then Tom Brady,” he added with a smile.

Williams had meetings with eight NFL teams scheduled during the Scouting Combine, per CBS Sports.

Williams is widely expected to be the first prospect to have his name called during the 2024 NFL Draft, with the Bears having the No. 1 pick.

And he’s fully embracing the mantle.

“It’s not a thought in my mind. I don’t think that I’m not gonna be No. 1,” Williams said.

“I think I put in all the hard work, all of the time, effort, energy into being that.

“I don’t think of a Plan B. That’s kind of how I do things in my life.

“I don’t think of a Plan B, stay on Plan A, and then when things don’t work out, find a way to make Plan A work.”

The 2024 draft takes place between April 25-27 in Detroit, Michigan.
