Angel Reese Makes Her Opinion Of A’ja Wilson Extremely Clear
Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky will host the two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces on Thursday for a primetime matchup at 7:00 EST. Reese will have her first jab at WNBA MVP frontrunner A’ja Wilson. The rookie recently spoke on her opinion of Wilson, given her incredible influence in women’s basketball.
“A’ja has been somebody that’s inspired me, not just on the court, but off the court. As a black woman, her story, being from South Carolina and everything behind that. I’m super happy for her… She continues to lead the way in so many different ways,” said Reese via Angel and Kamilla on X.
Wilson is currently averaging a league-high 27.8 points and 11.6 rebounds. The two-time MVP is making a case for another addition to her trophy case, having a tremendous impact on the Aces through their 8-6 season.

Reese said that Wilson has been an inspiration to her, and it’s clear that she’s picked up some tips and tricks from the WNBA superstar.
The rookie out of LSU is averaging 13.2 points and 11.1 rebounds, making her the only first-year player to average a double-double. She’s currently battling with Caitlin Cark of the Indiana Fever for the league’s Rookie of the Year award.
Wilson will have a chance to showcase her elite-level skill in the Windy City, playing against two of the most talented rookies in Reese and Kamilla Cardoso of the Sky.
