A’Ja Wilson is arguably the best player in the WNBA this season, a force down low for the back-to-back defending champion Las Vegas Aces.
Wilson has been overshadowed at times by hot shot rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, but she and her Aces teammates will have the opportunity to send a message to Reese and the rest of the WNBA on Thursday night in the Windy City.
Wilson revealed a five-word message to her fans one night before her team’s showdown with the Sky.
“Y’all got y’all shirts?” Wilson asked, with a three-star and coy face emoji on X.
Wilson asked a rhetorical question about her new Nike logo and t-shirts, which dropped earlier this week and quickly sold out.
The success of Wilson’s branding and merchandise is further testimony to the popularity of women’s basketball.
Wilson hasn’t quite reached the same stratosphere of Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese in terms of her popularity, but she has become a certified force in the world of basketball marketing through sheer talent, work ethic, and success on the basketball court.
