Kamilla Cardoso’s Pregame Outfit Is Going Viral Before WNBA Home Debut
Chicago Sky rookie Kamilla Cardoso is back in the lineup after suffering a shoulder injury in the preseason. Cardoso played her first game in the WNBA on Saturday against the Indiana Fever. She posted 11 points and six rebounds in her first-ever professional bout.
While Cardoso is known for her elite-level skill on the court, she recently showed her stylish talent off the hardwood. Cardoso entered the pregame tunnel for a matchup against the New York Liberty on Tuesday rocking a SLAM magazine shirt with Dawn Staley on the cover.
Cardoso played with Staley at South Carolina for three seasons, averaging 10.6 points and 7.6 rebounds in her college career. She made sure to give credit to one of her mentors in her first home game.

Cardoso was selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft. As head coach Teresa Weatherspoon mentioned, Cardoso was “amazing” against the Fever in her first game with limited action.
The rookie is only going to get better with time. It’s clear from the flashes she showed against Indiana that Cardoso will be a major problem for opposing teams, just like her college days with Staley and the Gamecocks.
