Maddie Madayag Makes a Strong Debut in Japan
Maddie Madayag, a former middle blocker for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans in the Philippine Superliga, has made her debut in the Japan V.League. She is now playing for the Kurobe Aqua Fairies.
Madayag made her debut on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in the team’s match against the Himeji Victorina. She scored her first point with an ace. Although the Aqua Fairies lost the match, Madayag’s performance was impressive. She finished the match with 19 points, including 16 from attacks and 3 from blocks. She also had 15 points from service aces.
Madayag’s performance has been praised by her coach and teammates. Coach Dante Alinsunurin, who is also the coach of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, said that Madayag is a very talented player and that he is confident that she will be a great asset to the Aqua Fairies.
Madayag is also excited about her new opportunity to play in Japan. She said that she is looking forward to learning from her new teammates and coaches. She is also excited to experience a new culture and a new way of life.
