Choco Mucho’s Kat Tolentino Undergoes Appendicitis Surgery, Sidelined Indefinitely

The Choco Mucho Flying Titans have been dealt a significant blow as star opposite hitter Kat Tolentino was hospitalized on January 20 due to a ruptured appendix that required emergency surgery. The team released an official statement confirming that Tolentino, who is also dealing with an auditory issue, was diagnosed with a ruptured appendix and had to undergo emergency surgery later that afternoon.

The incident happened just days after the Flying Titans staged a reverse sweep against ZUS Coffee last Saturday behind Sisi Rondina and Deanna Wong. Tolentino, who is also a member of the national women’s volleyball team, is expected to miss some time for Choco Mucho in the team’s ongoing campaign in the PVL All-Filipino Conference.

PVL Faces New Challenges with “Last Touch Challenge” and “Reaching Beyond The Net Challenge”

The PVL is also facing new challenges with the introduction of the “Last Touch Challenge” and the “Reaching Beyond The Net Challenge.” These new challenges are designed to add excitement and intrigue to the game, but they have also led to some confusion among players and officials.

In the “Last Touch Challenge,” teams can challenge a call on the last touch of the ball. This can be used to determine whether a ball was in or out, or whether a player touched the net. The “Reaching Beyond The Net Challenge” allows teams to challenge a call on whether a player reached over the net to touch the ball.

These new challenges have added a new layer of complexity to the game, and it is still unclear how they will be used in the long run. However, they are sure to add excitement and intrigue to the PVL.

Conclusion

The PVL is a young league that is still trying to find its footing. However, it is clear that the league is committed to making the game more exciting and engaging for fans. The introduction of the “Last Touch Challenge” and the “Reaching Beyond The Net Challenge” is a step in the right direction.
