The top three teams in the PVL (Petro Gazz, Creamline, Cignal) all face a different challenge as they return to action for the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

As the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference picks up after the holiday break, the Petro Gazz Angels, Cignal HD Spikers, and Creamline Cool Smashers are primed to maintain their dominance and secure playoff berths.
Here’s a quick update on how their campaigns have shaped up and what lies ahead for these powerhouse teams.
Petro Gazz Angels (5-1)
The Angels have emerged as a formidable force this season, with their impressive record placing them at the top of the standings.
Brooke Van Sickle continues to deliver stellar performances for the Angels, but it was the resurgence of Myla Pablo that changed the game for the Koji Tsuzurabara-led squad.
Petro Gazz’s depth and versatility have been crucial, allowing them to reach the top of the standings.
With a showdown against the Chery Tiggo Crossovers set for January 21 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig, the Angels will aim to solidify their hold on the league’s top spot.
Cignal HD Spikers (4-1)
All eyes will be on the HD Spikers as they reopen their All-Filipino campaign without veterans Ces Molina and Riri Meneses.
Sitting with a 4-1 record, Cignal looked poise for another deep run in the tournament.
But without Molina and Meneses, will the HD Spikers remain a contender in the conference? Who will step up for the team? All of these questions will be answered soon enough.
Cignal will head back into action on January 21 when they face the Galeries Tower Highrisers.
Creamline Cool Smashers (4-0)
The grand slam champions have lived up to expectations, maintaining an unblemished record so far.
Led by Alyssa Valdez and supported by the stellar play of Jema Galanza and Michele Gumabao, the Cool Smashers continue to set the standard for consistency and excellence.
Despite a slight near-hiccup to end the year, Creamline continues to prove why they are cool, calm, and collected in pressure-packed situations.
It’s not hard to see why the Cool Smashers can go for another title run in the All-Filipino Conference—maybe even another grand slam run at that.
Creamline will put its unblemished record so far to the test as it goes up against the Capital1 Solar Spikers also on January 21 at PhilSports Arena.
