🚨 Caitlin Clark Had This To Say About The WNBA All-Star Game And Angel Reese ‼️

Having had several memorable on-court battles against each other, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will team up for the first time as WNBA All-Stars to take on Team USA during All-Star weekend.

Speaking to reporters after the Indiana Fever’s loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday (starts at 8:00 mark), Clark said “people are gonna be excited about” them wearing the same jersey but wanted to make sure that storyline “doesn’t take away from everybody else” on both teams and what they accomplished.

The WNBA announced the 2024 All-Star team on Tuesday, with Clark among the top-10 vote-getters from a combination of fans, current WNBA players and a panel of national sportswriters and broadcasters.

Clark led all players in the fan voting with 700,735 votes, followed by her Fever teammate Aliyah Boston (618,680). Reese, who finished outside the top 10 in the initial voting, was among the eight players named to the team from a vote of WNBA coaches.

The two rookie sensations have started to find their footing in the WNBA. Clark is averaging 16.4 points on 38.5 percent three-point shooting, 8.4 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game in 10 starts since June 7.

Reese is in the midst of a historic double-double streak that is up to 11 games. She currently leads the league in rebounds per game (11.8) and is one of four players averaging a double-double.

Clark and the Fever have played Reese and the Chicago Sky three times already this season. Indiana has gone 2-1 in those games, with one more matchup in the regular season on Aug. 30 at Wintrust Arena.

This comes after the two superstars met five times in college. Reese won four of those meetings against Clark and Iowa, including in the 2023 national title game.

The WNBA All-Star Game will feature the league’s top stars taking on the women who will represent the United States in the Olympics. The game will be played on July 20 at Footprint Center in Phoenix.
