Angel Reese is preparing to lead LSU to defend its 2023 NCAA…

In the middle of the sport’s most important month, fans of Angel Reese and Cam’Ron Fletcher have concluded that college basketball’s most prominent couple may no longer be together.

LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese posted a short video on TikTok with a caption and lyrics that had fans jumping to conclusions quicker than the Tigers forward leaps for rebounds.

Did Angel Reese and Cam’Ron Fletcher break up?

Reese sang along to a song while giving a few expressive glares to the camera during the six-second video. Over the screen, she wrote her own version of the lyrics that were playing: “it’s 20 milion (ninja emoji)’s trynna get at me but I still don’t want one.”

The caption posted with the video was a single emoji with its mouth covered.

Her announcement that she doesn’t want a man existed in stark contrast to previous social media behavior, when she has routinely been seen posing with Florida State hoopster Fletcher, who she dated for many months.

They removed all the photos of each other from their Instagram profiles, but they both still have videos together on their respective TikTok accounts.

“Wait a min??” one fan wrote under Angel’s new video on TikTok, with over 500 likes sharing the surprise.

The disbelief flooded the comments, with people trying to explain the unfathomable thought of her and Cam’Ron breaking up as lies or “delulu” or exaggeration.

“They broke up??” questioned another comment.

Big decisions facing Reese and LSU

Nothing is confirmed about Reese’s relationship status, but all the signs point to trouble with Fletcher.

One outlook on the situation is that the SEC Player of the Year is eliminating distractions from her personal life as March Madness approaches, so she and Kim Mulkey’s LSU can focus on winning back-to-back national championships.

Reese is also approaching graduation, a time when many college students reevaluate relationships. She has one year of NCAA eligibility left if she chooses to use it, but she said publicly that she will not announce her plans until LSU’s season is over.

The drama comes amid a week off as the Tigers recharge after a scrappy SEC championship game against South Carolina and await their fate on Selection Sunday, when they are virtually a lock to host a regional in the NCAA tournament.
