Fresh off her No. 1 overall WNBA draft selection, Caitlin Clark is already making waves in Indiana, both on and off the court. In a recent photo shoot with her Indiana Fever teammates, Clark found herself in an unexpected and heartwarming moment of camaraderie.

During the shoot, two of Clark’s teammates, Erica Wheeler and NaLyssa Smith, extended a gesture of friendship by offering her their chains to wear.

Captured in a behind-the-scenes video posted on X, the atmosphere was one of joy and laughter as Clark sported the No. 1 and 17 chains, even playfully pretending to take a bite out of Smith’s jewelry.

The video, shared by the Fever, showcased the genuine bond forming among the players, with Clark’s infectious smile lighting up the scene.

Smith and Wheeler both reposted the video on their Instagram Stories, accompanied by laughing emojis and snapshots of their time together. Even Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, found the moment funny and shared it to his Stories.

Fever preparing for the season

Meanwhile, the Fever are gearing up for an exciting season, fueled by the addition of Clark, the Division I basketball women’s all-time leading scorer.

With Clark’s arrival, interest in the team has soared, reflected in a significant surge in ticket sales.

Stubhub reported a staggering 93 percent increase in WNBA ticket sales compared to the previous year, with Fever ticket sales skyrocketing by thirteen times following Clark’s draft selection.
