On Thursday night, Kate Martin and the Las Vegas Aces defeated Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky by a final score of 95-83.
The Sky’s two-game winning streak ended, and they dropped to 6-10 on the season. The Aces won their third game in a row, moving to 9-6. They are now 3-0 since Chelsea Gray’s return from injury.
The Aces had three players score 20+ points in the game. A’ja Wilson had 31, Kelsey Plum added 21, and Jackie Young tallied 22. Despite the loss, Reese was still able to record her ninth consecutive double-double.
During the game, Aces rookie Martin was trending after being decked by Sky star Diamond DeShields. The incident happened when DeShields set a firm screen on Martin, who then ran into it and fell flat on her back.
