Iowa Hawkeyes fans already adored Martin, but she became even more known and loved since the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Despite a stacked Las Vegas Aces, Martin has carved out a role for herself on the two-time defending WNBA champions.
This week, Martin’s girlfriend Claire is going viral because of her brain.
Claire had a 3.94 GPA while at Iowa.
Via her LinkedIn:
“May 2024 Graduate with Distinction from The University of Iowa, majoring in Communication Studies alongside minors in both Law and Media Literacy. With plans to relocate to the Greater Boston Area upon my graduation, I am excited to bring with me the skills I have acquired not only from my coursework but also from my professional experience at The University of Iowa and The National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland. In my free time, I have found my role as a Director in The GH Foundation, an organization I am grateful to help found on our campus, extremely rewarding. I look forward to bringing my passions of health, community service, and education to the workplace and new organizations in Boston.”
Kate Martin and Claire are former classmates.
Martin’s life was changed when the Aces shockingly selected her as the 18th overall pick in the WNBA Draft. She played well enough to earn a spot on the team.
Now, the former Iowa Hawkeye has a serious chance to play alongside her best friend, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark, at the 2024 All-Star Game.
She was announced as 12th in the recent rankings.
