On Monday night, we will get to see a rematch of last year’s national championship game in the women’s NCAA tournament.

LSU will face off against the Iowa Hawkeyes with a shot at the Final Four on the line.

A byproduct of that is that we get to see the two most polarizing players in Women’s Hoops go at it once again, Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. Last season, Reese and the Tigers got the best of Clark and her Hawkeyes en route to a 102-85 victory.

Before the two matchup once again, Clark was asked her thoughts on her relationship with Reese.

“Me and Angel have always been great competitors,” Clark said, per On3.

“Obviously, she played in the Big Ten for a while to begin her career and that’s what makes women’s basketball so fun.

You have great competition and that’s what we’ve had all year long. But I think Angel would say the same, it’s not just us in women’s basketball. That’s not the only competitive thing about where our game is at and that’s what makes it so good.

We need multiple people to be really good. I think both of our careers, whether she decides to stay or to go, we’ll have great careers in the WNBA and that’s been both of our dreams all along. So I think we’re both excited for that as well.”

LSU and Iowa are scheduled to tip off on Monday at 6 p.m. CT.
