That was taken maybe six years ago. [Michael] came to one of my parties. So I’m in the party. I’m hosting them. You know, I’m being the hostess with the mostess and everything. And then, the security come up to me and say, ‘Mister Combs, Mister Michael Jackson is here to see you.’ I’m like, ‘Get out of here.

The rapper also immediately added that Jackson was not there to hang out with him. But on the contrary, he was there to meet Beyoncé. Will Smith’s Interview With David Letterman After His Oscar’s Controversy

What was supposed to be the biggest night of Will Smith‘s life turned out to be his worst nightmare. The entire fiasco happened at the 94th Academy Awards in 2022, in which the actor got on stage and slapped comedian Chris Rock during his presentation. For context, Rock had made some jokes about Jada Pinkett Smith’s Alopecia, which didn’t sit well with the actor.

Interestingly, Netflix released an episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman featuring the actor. While this was filmed before the slap controversy, it marked Smith’s first interview since the altercation.
