Panini America announces Caitlin Clark Collection of trading cards

Panini America, the world’s largest sports and entertainment collectibles company, has announced the Caitlin Clark Collection, a trading card set that highlights the career of basketball star Caitlin Clark, according to a news release.

The first female athlete to exclusively partner with Panini for trading cards and autographed memorabilia, Clark has put her personal stamp on the Caitlin Clark Collection by collaborating with Panini to develop a special 15 card set within the series that celebrates key moments in her career to this point, the release says.

Included in the Caitlin Clark Collection will be inserts that include College Contenders, Reigning 3’s, Crunch Time, School Colors and Campus Legends. There will also be the Record Breaker – a special card that commemorates the moment when she became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I college basketball. There will be four cards available per pack and six packs per box. Autographed cards will be inserted into randomly selected packs.

The Caitlin Clark Collection is available at Panini’s website and at Target, and will expand to other retailers that include Walmart, Hy-Vee, Rally House, Scheels and Panini Direct Hobby Stores.

“The launch of the Caitlin Clark Collection is another milestone for Panini and celebrates an athlete who has had a profound impact on and off the basketball court,” said Jason Howarth, senior vice president of marketing and athlete relations for Panini America. “We think that fans will love the cards in this collection, and as she continues in her professional career, we look forward to expanding our offerings featuring Caitlin.”

Clark is a two-time National Player of the Year. She led the University of Iowa to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Championship Game and was chosen as the #1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever. The Panini Instant Blue Viper 1/1 Autographed card sold for just under $25,000 last month, setting a record for the highest-selling WNBA card sold via public auction.

“To be able to have my own trading card set that celebrates my time at Iowa and those special moments as a kid when I fell in love with the game of basketball is special,” said Caitlin Clark. “Knowing that basketball fans everywhere, especially young girls and boys, will be able to collect these cards is humbling.”
