Former NBA star Paul Pierce is taking some heat online following a very strange take on Caitlin Clark’s performance against Louisiana State University this week.

Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes advanced to the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four with a 94-87 win over the LSU Tigers on Monday night. The Iowa guard was the standout player of the game, hitting nine threes en route to a 41-point performance.

Pierce was speaking on FS1’s ‘Undisputed’ on Tuesday morning when he claimed Clark earned his respect because she was a “white girl in Iowa doing it to a bunch of black girls.”

Check it out below:

“Paul Pierce is such a bad sports media personality, I have no idea why anyone would want him on their network,” one user wrote in the comments.

“Why does it have to be white v black?” another wondered. “Those players are excellent… Color of their skins means nothing.”

“He’s played the game long enough to know that color doesn’t matter at that level…….cut it out,” someone else said.

You can see some more reactions here:

“FS1 the only place left giving this dude air time and even that is surprising to me”

“There’s a reason the show averages less than 50k viewers.”

“Bro end this show man it’s getting ridiculous”

“Bro thinks he talking to KG on their podcast 😭🤦🏾‍♂️ ”

Paul Pierce Will Need To Be More Careful

Paul Pierce recently joined the cast of ‘Undisputed’, coming on as part of the rotating panel that has replaced Shannon Sharpe since his departure. Sharpe is now part of ESPN’s ‘First Take’ and joins the set on Monday and Tuesday every week.

Pierce was dismissed by The Worldwide Leader In Sports back in 2021 after posting a video of himself having a good time with a group of ladies who were paid to make an appearance.

“I got fired for having some entertainment. I’m playing cards. It’s my boy’s birthday. It’s girls dancing. We’re blowing some tree. What did I do wrong?” he said on the ‘I Am Athlete’ podcast last year.

He might want to be careful with those takes at FOX.
