Christie Sides and the Indiana Fever entered today’s game against the Chicago Sky on a four-game win streak.

However, after the Fever fell 88-87 in a game they led by as many as 15 points in the second half, Sides is under fire again for her perceived lack of adjustments down the stretch.

In particular, fans and media have criticized the second-year head coach for her team’s struggles on offense in the fourth quarter and inability to contain Angel Reese (25 points, 16 rebounds).

“Christie Sides watching Chicago Sky go on a 12-0 run and abandoning Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston pick-n-roll,” said one person, including a photo of former Lakers head coach Darvin Ham with his hands in his pockets.

“Great game from Angel Reese. She was properly focused from the jump. However, Christie Sides is a bad coach. At some point, you have to put Boston on Reese and live with whatever Cardosa does,” added Jason Whitlock.

“Need to see Christie Sides go to the podium and take the blame because that is a straight coaching loss, abysmal stuff,” another fan added. “Horrendous offense and didn’t adjust to Smith getting fried by Reese.”

“This loss is on Christie Sides,” a third fan added.

“This must be the game that gets Christie Sides fired. Has to be,” a fourth fan said.

Sides will definitely be asked about some of her decision-making after the game.

We’ll see what kind of insight she provides, if any.
