It was a typical Tuesday morning at the bustling airport, where the air buzzed with the sounds of rolling suitcases, announcements echoing through the terminal, and the chatter of travelers eager to reach their destinations. Among them was Zara, a 16-year-old girl, clutching her boarding pass tightly. She had been looking forward to this trip for months—a long-awaited adventure to a faraway place she had always dreamed of visiting.

As Zara stood in the long line at the check-in counter, her excitement began to wane. The line moved at a snail’s pace, and she could feel her frustration rising. She glanced at the airline staff behind the counter, noticing their disorganized movements. One employee was arguing with another, while the rest seemed overwhelmed and unhelpful. Zara tapped her foot impatiently, watching the clock as her flight time drew nearer.

Finally, it was her turn. She stepped forward, but as the clerk scanned her ticket, a new problem arose. “I’m sorry, Miss,” the clerk said coldly, looking at her computer screen. “Your flight’s been delayed for at least an hour. We don’t have the resources to process any more passengers for now.”

Zara’s stomach sank. “But I checked in online and got the confirmation! Why wasn’t I notified about this delay?” The clerk shrugged, clearly uninterested. “I don’t know, Miss. You’ll have to wait.”

Zara tried to keep her cool, but her nerves were fraying. She glanced around the crowded terminal, hoping someone could help, but instead found herself surrounded by other frustrated passengers, all equally confused and irritated by the airline’s inefficiency. As she started to raise her voice, asking for answers, the airline staff member lost patience.

“Please calm down, Miss,” he said dismissively. “If you want, we can call security.”

Feeling the pressure of the situation, Zara did not back down. “This is ridiculous! I have a right to know what’s going on with my flight. You can’t just keep me here without any explanation!”

That’s when the situation took a darker turn. Within minutes, Officer Daniels, a uniformed police officer, arrived at the scene. His stern expression immediately put a chill in the air. Zara, still standing firm, looked up at him with growing frustration. “I’m just trying to get answers about my flight. They’re delaying it, and nobody is telling me why.”

Instead of hearing her out, Officer Daniels stepped closer, his voice growing more aggressive. “I don’t want to hear it. You need to calm down right now. You’re holding up the line and making a scene.”

Zara was taken aback. “I’m not making a scene! I just want some clarity on what’s happening!” Before she could say another word, Officer Daniels shoved her aside. “That’s enough!” he snapped. “I’ll have you escorted out if you keep this up.”

The shock on Zara’s face was palpable as she stumbled backward. The crowd around them grew silent, but no one stepped in to help. Officer Daniels grabbed her arm and pushed her toward the side of the terminal, his grip tightening as he barked orders at her. “Get out of the way!” he growled, showing no compassion or concern for the situation.

Now visibly shaken, Zara tried to break free from his hold, but the officer shoved her harder, slamming her against a nearby pillar. The sound echoed through the terminal. The crowd stood frozen, some pulling out their phones to record the scene. Zara’s voice cracked as she finally yelled, “Stop! This isn’t right! You can’t do this to me!”

But Officer Daniels wasn’t listening. He stood tall, ignoring her pleas, his authority and anger blinding him to the injustice he was inflicting. At that very moment, a man in a simple black jacket and sunglasses stepped into the scene. His casual demeanor stood in stark contrast to the escalating chaos, yet there was something about him that made people pause.

He watched the unfolding drama, his eyes narrowing as he took in the situation. The stranger approached the officer and, without a hint of fear, said calmly, “I think you need to stop right there.”

Everyone turned their attention to him as Officer Daniels, still holding Zara against the pillar, shot him a dismissive glare. “This doesn’t concern you, buddy,” he sneered. “Get lost.”

But the stranger wasn’t phased. His voice was calm yet carried an undeniable authority. “Let her go now.”

Officer Daniels scowled but took a step back, sizing up the man. “What’s it to you?” he asked, his voice laced with annoyance.

The man’s gaze was unwavering. “It’s everything,” he replied. As the tension in the terminal thickened, Zara felt a small glimmer of hope. The stranger’s arrival was about to change everything.

The atmosphere in the terminal was charged with tension. Officer Daniels stood with his hand firmly gripping Zara’s arm, his eyes still locked on the man who had approached. The stranger was calm, his expression unreadable, but there was something in his posture that suggested he wasn’t someone to be dismissed easily.

“I said this doesn’t concern you,” Officer Daniels repeated, his voice low and hostile. The stranger didn’t flinch. He simply took a step closer, not with aggression but with quiet confidence. “It does concern me. You don’t treat people like this, especially not a young girl.”

Zara, still pressed against the pillar, looked up at the stranger. She could barely believe what was happening. For the first time, someone was standing up for her. Officer Daniels scoffed, clearly annoyed. “I don’t know who you think you are, but I’m just doing my job.”

“Doing your job?” The stranger repeated, raising an eyebrow. “Is your job to bully and intimidate innocent people? Because that’s exactly what you’re doing right now.”

The officer was now visibly frustrated, his grip on Zara tightening. “You’re asking for trouble,” he warned. But the stranger remained unshaken. He looked around the terminal, locking eyes with a few passengers as if silently rallying their support. “You’re the one causing trouble here, not her,” he said firmly.

Zara watched in awe, trying to process what was happening. Was this just some random guy trying to help, or was there something more to him? Just as the officer was about to respond, a voice rang out from the other side of the terminal. “Is there a problem here?”

The voice was smooth, confident, and instantly recognizable. The crowd parted as a tall man walked into the scene, wearing a simple black jacket and dark sunglasses. His appearance didn’t scream authority, but something about him commanded respect. It was Elon Musk.

Nobody recognized him at first. He didn’t announce himself, and there was no grand entrance. The only thing that stood out was the quiet confidence he exuded, which contrasted sharply with the chaotic scene. He walked toward the group with a steady pace, not hurried, as if he had all the time in the world.

Officer Daniels glanced at him briefly, dismissing him as just another passerby. “This is none of your business,” he said, irritation creeping into his voice.

Elon paused for a moment, studying the situation. His gaze landed on Zara, who was still backed against the pillar, her face pale. His eyes then shifted to Officer Daniels, who was still holding on to her arm. “You need to let her go,” Elon said, his tone calm yet firm.

The officer, now even more annoyed, turned to face Elon. “And who are you to tell me what to do?” he sneered, clearly underestimating the man standing before him.

Elon didn’t flinch. “I’m someone who believes in doing what’s right, and what you’re doing right now is wrong.”

There was a brief pause, the air thick with tension. The officer stared at Elon, unsure how to react. His instinct was to dismiss the stranger as just another annoyed traveler, but something in Elon’s voice made him pause.

“I don’t care who you are. This girl was causing a disturbance, and I’m handling it,” Officer Daniels said, attempting to regain control.

“You’re not handling anything,” Elon replied, stepping closer. “You’re abusing your power and mistreating a young girl who’s just trying to get on her flight.”

The crowd had gone silent, many of them watching the confrontation unfold, some with phones already out to record the moment. Zara’s eyes widened as she realized the man confronting the officer wasn’t just any ordinary person. There was something about him that made her feel as though the whole situation might be turning around.

Officer Daniels, flustered, turned to the airline staff for support, but they seemed too afraid to step in. The other passengers watched intently, waiting for something to happen. Then Elon spoke again, his words cutting through the tension like a knife. “Let her go now.”

The officer hesitated, glancing around as the situation seemed to be slipping from his control. He looked at the airline staff, who were nervously watching the scene unfold, unsure of what to do. It was clear now that the balance of power had shifted, and Officer Daniels was starting to realize that he was out of his depth.

Zara, still reeling from the encounter, could hardly believe what was happening. The officer who moments ago had been slamming her into a pillar was now backing off. She looked up at Elon, still uncertain. Was this really happening? The stranger, who had now revealed himself to be one of the world’s most influential figures, was about to turn the tide in a way nobody could have predicted.

The tension in the terminal was palpable as the confrontation between Officer Daniels and Elon continued to unfold. The officer’s grip on Zara loosened, his face flushed with frustration and confusion. He seemed to sense that the situation was slipping out of his control, but there was something about the man confronting him that made him hesitate.

Zara, still shaken by the officer’s earlier aggression, stood there, barely able to comprehend what had just happened. This stranger, who had stepped in to defend her without hesitation, was no ordinary person. She could feel the shift in the atmosphere as his presence seemed to command the attention of everyone around.

“Let her go,” Elon repeated, his tone now even more commanding. Officer Daniels seemed to snap out of his flustered state, realizing that he was being challenged not just by an angry traveler but by someone who carried authority far beyond the airport terminal.

“I don’t need you to tell me what to do,” the officer said, but his voice faltered as he tried to assert himself. Elon stood his ground. “It’s not about telling you what to do; it’s about doing what’s right.”

There was a tense silence. The officer shifted on his feet but didn’t release Zara’s arm. Instead, he shot a glance at the airline staff, who were standing nearby, unsure of how to respond. The airline employees, who had been largely indifferent until now, seemed to sense that the situation was about to spiral even further out of their control. They whispered among themselves, looking nervously at the man standing before them.

“Maybe you should let us handle this,” one of the airline staff members said, attempting to regain some semblance of authority. “This is a minor situation; there’s no need to escalate it.”

Elon turned to the airline employee, his eyes narrowing slightly. “You’re part of the problem. This girl was treated unfairly, and you were content to stand by while an officer used excessive force on her.”

The airline staff member stammered, “But she was causing a disturbance!”

“She was frustrated and rightfully so,” Elon shot back. “You’re all part of a broken system that blames the victims instead of holding people accountable for their actions.”

The staff member shifted uncomfortably, his face paling. “Look, we’ve got procedures to follow,” he said, trying to justify the airline’s actions. “We don’t know who’s in the wrong here.”

“Well, I do,” Elon said firmly. “The wrong person is the one who thinks it’s okay to treat a teenager like this.”

The staff, now realizing that they had crossed the wrong person, looked at one another, unsure of what to do next. Zara watched the scene unfold in front of her, stunned by how quickly things had changed. Just moments ago, she had been at the mercy of a cold, uncaring officer and an inefficient airline staff. Now, she was witnessing a shift in the balance of power, all because of one man.

She felt a strange sense of relief, though she was still processing the whirlwind of emotions from the past few minutes. It was as if someone had finally noticed her, finally stood up for her. The more she listened to Elon, the more she realized that he wasn’t just helping her; he was challenging the entire system that had allowed this injustice to unfold.

Just as the tension reached its peak, Officer Daniels finally released Zara’s arm, though reluctantly. The crowd around them seemed to breathe a collective sigh of relief. It was clear that something monumental had just happened. The officer, now looking defeated, stepped back, his face a mixture of embarrassment and frustration.

The airline staff, realizing the gravity of the situation, began to scramble to appease the growing crowd. One of them hurried to Zara’s side, offering her an apology, but it felt hollow compared to the events that had just transpired. They tried to offer her a seat in the VIP lounge and priority boarding, but Zara was too stunned to respond.

She turned to Elon, still unsure of what to say. She had been so caught up in the chaos that she hadn’t even considered who this man might be. The truth was, she had no idea. Sensing her confusion, Elon smiled slightly. “You don’t know who I am, do you?” he asked, his tone gentle but amused.

Zara blinked, still processing everything. “No, I’m sorry, I don’t.”

Elon chuckled softly, as if the situation wasn’t already enough of a surprise. “I’m Elon Musk,” he said casually. “Founder of Tesla and SpaceX. I’ve been known to stir up a few things here and there.”

Zara’s mouth dropped open. She couldn’t believe it. The man who had just stood up for her, the one who had taken down the aggressive officer and challenged the airline’s behavior, was none other than Elon Musk—the tech billionaire and entrepreneur. The realization hit her like a wave. She had just been defended by one of the most influential figures in the world, and she had no idea who he was until now.

“Wait, you’re Elon Musk?” she stammered.

He smiled again, this time with a bit more warmth. “That’s me.”

Zara could hardly believe it. “But why? Why did you help me?”

Elon shrugged. “I don’t like to see people treated unfairly, especially when they’re not in a position to defend themselves. You were clearly being mistreated.” He paused for a moment, then added, “I’ve had my share of fights with authority in my time.”

Zara felt a sense of awe wash over her. Not only had Elon Musk just taken down an arrogant officer and called out an entire airline staff, but he had also stood up for her, a complete stranger. It was more than she could have ever hoped for.

As the crowd slowly started to disperse, still murmuring about what they had just witnessed, Elon turned to her one last time. “Remember, Zara,” he said, his voice steady, “always stand up for what’s right. Never let anyone tell you that you don’t matter.”

Zara nodded, still in shock but feeling something inside her shift. She had just experienced something that would stay with her forever—an act of kindness, courage, and justice that she would never forget. And it was all thanks to a man who had appeared out of nowhere, changed the course of her day, and reminded her of her own strength.

As she walked toward the gate to board her flight, she couldn’t help but smile. The world may have felt unfair at times, but she now knew that even in the most unexpected moments, there was hope.

As Zara walked toward the gate, the weight of the events that had unfolded in the terminal still lingered on her mind. The adrenaline from the confrontation with Officer Daniels had not fully worn off, and she could feel the eyes of the other passengers following her every step. Whispers filled the air, but there was no longer any hostility—only curiosity. It seemed as though the entire terminal had witnessed something remarkable, and for Zara, it was hard to process.

She kept replaying the moment when Elon Musk had intervened. The man who had just defended her, who had so effortlessly confronted authority, was now a stranger in her mind. But he wasn’t just any stranger; he was someone who had fundamentally changed the course of her day and possibly her life.

For the first time in what felt like forever, she felt seen, heard, and perhaps more importantly, protected. As she settled into the lounge the airline had quickly arranged for her, her phone buzzed in her pocket. It was a message from her best friend, Emma.

“Emma: OMG! Did you just see what happened? That was crazy! I saw some footage online. Everyone’s talking about it. Are you okay?”

Zara quickly typed back a response, her fingers still trembling from the intensity of the moment. “Zara: I’m okay! I still can’t believe it. I don’t know what to say. Some guy stepped in and stopped the officer. Turns out it was Elon Musk!”

Emma’s reply was instant. “Emma: What? No way! That’s insane! Are you serious? You must have been freaking out!”

Zara leaned back in the plush chair, her mind spinning. She hadn’t been able to fully wrap her head around it. She had lived in a world where people often ignored her, where she felt insignificant, and where justice seemed out of reach. But today, someone had not only stood up for her but had done so with such power and resolve that it felt like the universe was reminding her of her worth.

The lounge was quiet, a stark contrast to the chaos of moments earlier. Zara had finally managed to calm down when she saw a group of reporters entering the area. They weren’t looking at her, but their presence made her uneasy. She wondered if the story of what had just happened was about to break out into the media.

Just as she started to feel overwhelmed by the attention, a familiar voice broke through her thoughts. “Mind if I join you?”

Elon’s voice was calm, but there was a certain warmth that made her smile despite the chaos still swirling around her. Zara looked up, stunned. She hadn’t expected him to approach her, not after everything had settled down. She was still processing his sudden appearance earlier, and now here he was, standing before her with a small smile.

“I can’t believe this,” she stammered, still trying to process his presence. “You really didn’t have to help me. I don’t even know what to say.”

Elon raised a hand, cutting her off gently. “No need to thank me. It wasn’t about doing something for you; it was about doing what was right.” He sat down across from her, his posture relaxed but his expression serious. “It’s not always easy to stand up against authority, especially when you’re alone. But sometimes you have to make a stand, even if you’re not sure what the consequences will be.”

Zara nodded slowly, still overwhelmed by the conversation. “But why did you choose me? You didn’t know me, and you could have just walked away.”

Elon leaned forward slightly, his gaze never leaving her. “The truth is, I saw a situation that wasn’t right. And when you see something like that, you have to act. I know what it’s like to feel powerless, and I’ve made it my mission to try to change that wherever I can. No one should feel like they’re invisible—not you, not anyone.”

Zara’s heart began to race as she listened to him. His words, though simple, were powerful. She had heard people talk about change and justice before, but there was something about Elon’s sincerity that made it feel real. Maybe it was his reputation, his fearlessness in facing the impossible, or maybe it was the way he spoke from a place of experience. Either way, it was clear to Zara that she was in the presence of someone who wasn’t just wealthy or famous; he was someone who genuinely cared about making a difference.

“I never thought someone like you would be the one to stand up for me,” Zara said, her voice quieter now. “It just feels like everything’s happening so fast. I’m just trying to get to my flight, and now this.”

Elon smiled, the warmth returning to his expression. “Life has a way of throwing curveballs at you when you least expect it,” he said with a chuckle. “But sometimes those curveballs lead you to moments that can change everything. What you choose to do with those moments is what counts.”

Zara felt her heart settle for the first time in a long while. She felt like she wasn’t alone. She had always dreamed of standing up for herself, of having the courage to face the injustices in her life, and now here she was, talking to one of the most influential people in the world—someone who had taken a stand for her when she had no power at all.

Before she could respond, a flight attendant entered the lounge and walked toward her. “Miss Zara,” she said politely, “your flight is ready for boarding. Your seat has been upgraded to first class, and we’ve arranged for a private escort to take you to the plane.”

Zara stood up, still stunned. “Wait, what? I don’t understand.”

The flight attendant smiled. “Compliments of the airline. After the events that transpired, we wanted to ensure your experience is as pleasant as possible.”

Elon stood up as well, his expression thoughtful. “You deserve it,” he said simply. “Don’t let anyone ever make you feel like you don’t.”

As Zara walked toward the gate, escorted by the staff, she glanced back at Elon, who had already turned to leave the lounge. She couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe. Her life had changed in ways she couldn’t have imagined in a thousand years. She was just a teenage girl traveling alone, and yet today she had witnessed something extraordinary. And somehow, thanks to Elon Musk, she had been a part of it.

As the door to the jet bridge closed behind her, she felt a sense of empowerment she had never known before. Maybe this wasn’t just about a moment in time; maybe it was about realizing her own power, her own voice, and knowing that just like today, she had the strength to stand up for what was right.

Zara’s mind was still reeling from the events that had unfolded in the airport terminal as she settled into her first-class seat on the plane. A strange sense of disbelief washed over her. She was alone, yet she didn’t feel lonely. The world around her felt surreal, as if she had stepped into an alternate reality where anything was possible.

As the plane taxied down the runway, Zara’s thoughts returned to the moment Elon Musk had stepped in. She had never imagined that someone like him, a billionaire entrepreneur, would take time out of his day to defend her. But he had, and in doing so, had shown her the power of standing up for what’s right, no matter the cost.

Her phone buzzed again, and this time it was a message from her mom. “Mom: Zara, I saw what happened in the airport on the news. Are you okay? I can’t believe this is happening!”

Zara quickly typed a response, her fingers shaking slightly. “Zara: I’m okay, Mom! It’s crazy, but I’m fine. Someone helped me—someone really important.”

The response was almost immediate. “Mom: Someone important? Who? What happened?”

Zara paused, staring out the window as the plane soared higher into the sky. She wasn’t sure how to explain everything. It was hard to put into words the whirlwind of emotions she had experienced in such a short period of time, but she knew she had to try.

“Zara: It was Elon Musk. He was at the airport and stepped in when that officer was being aggressive. He told the airline staff off too. He just stood up for me when no one else did.”

For a moment, Zara stared at her phone, waiting for her mom’s reply. She could almost imagine her mom’s stunned expression as she read the message.

“Mom: Elon Musk? Oh my God! That’s incredible! I’m so glad you’re okay. This is going to be everywhere! I hope you’re ready for the attention.”

Zara’s heart skipped a beat. She hadn’t even thought about the media attention. She was still processing the fact that Elon Musk had been there right beside her, standing up for her. Before she could respond, the plane’s captain’s voice came over the intercom.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we’re about to reach cruising altitude. Please sit back and relax as we begin our flight.”

Zara put her phone down, closing her eyes for a moment to gather her thoughts. When she opened them again, she glanced around the cabin. The first-class area was quiet, but her mind was anything but. She thought about what Elon had said—how sometimes you have to make a stand, even when you’re not sure of the consequences. She hadn’t made a stand that day; she hadn’t even had the chance. But Elon had made it for her, and in doing so, he had given her a new sense of courage.

Her phone buzzed again, and this time it was a notification from the news app. The headline read: “Elon Musk Defends Teenage Girl at Airport: Shocking Incident Caught on Camera.” Zara’s heart raced as she tapped the notification. The video clip was already making its rounds across the internet. It showed the moment when Officer Daniels had shoved her into the pillar, followed by Elon Musk stepping in and confronting the officer.

The video didn’t capture everything, but it was clear enough to show the intense confrontation. The video cut off just as Elon was speaking with the airline staff, but it had already gone viral. The headline was followed by a string of comments, many of which were supportive. Some were curious, asking who the girl in the video was, but most were focused on the way Elon had stepped in to defend her.

Zara felt a strange sense of comfort reading the supportive comments. People were rallying behind her, and in that moment, it felt like the world had tilted in her favor. One of the comments caught her eye: “Elon Musk for the win! Standing up for a stranger when no one else would. This is the kind of leadership we need in the world.”

Zara smiled. She couldn’t believe it. She was part of this. She was part of something bigger than herself—something that was already making waves. But even as she soaked in the support, part of her felt a pang of discomfort. She hadn’t asked for any of this attention. She hadn’t asked to be in the spotlight, and yet here she was, thrust into a situation that was beyond her control.

As the plane continued its ascent, Zara tried to focus on her journey, but her mind kept drifting back to Elon Musk. She wondered if he had ever faced anything like this. What had made him decide to step in? And most importantly, why had he chosen to help her?

The hours seemed to drag on, but her thoughts were still racing. Finally, as the flight reached its cruising altitude, Zara decided to take a break from her phone. She needed some time to think, to breathe. She leaned back in her seat, her eyes closed, but her mind was anything but at rest.

Back on the ground, the world outside the airport was moving on as usual. The media buzz was only growing louder as the story continued to unfold. News outlets picked up the footage of the confrontation, some focusing on Elon Musk’s involvement while others honed in on the officer’s actions. The debate over police conduct and the abuse of power was reignited, and many people praised Elon Musk for using his platform to make a statement about justice.

Zara had no idea that her story was part of a much larger conversation—one that would affect more than just the people involved in the incident. Her brief encounter with Elon Musk had ignited a firestorm that would ripple through the public consciousness. As the days passed, Zara found herself wondering just how far this ripple would go and how it might change her life forever.

One thing was certain: everything had shifted. What had begun as an ordinary day had now become a defining moment in her life—a moment that would echo long after the headlines faded. And Zara, for the first time in a long while, felt like she might just have the strength to face whatever came next.

US Secretary criticized for advising to buy Elon Musk’s company stocks

The US Commerce Secretary’s advice to “buy Tesla stock” has been criticized as the law prohibits federal employees from abusing their positions for personal gain.

“Buy Ivanka” is the phrase that got White House adviser Kellyanne Conway reprimanded, when she recommended people buy clothes from President Donald Trump’s daughter during her first term.

US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick made a similar pitch for Tesla shares on Fox News on March 19. However, there appears to be no public rebuke of Mr. Lutnick.

“Who wouldn’t invest in Elon Musk? You’ve got to be kidding… Buy Tesla stock,” Lutnick said on television. He added that when people understand what billionaire Elon Musk is building, from robots to technology, they will think back today and regret not buying shares of this electric car company.

Government ethics experts said Mr. Lutnick violated a 1989 law that prohibits federal employees from using “public office for personal gain,” including a ban on “advocacy.” Presidents are generally exempt from government ethics rules, but most federal employees are not, including Conway’s 2017 solicitation of support for Mr. Trump’s daughter.

Just days after her call, Ms. Conway was urged by the head of the Office of Government Ethics to open an investigation into the alleged violations. With Mr. Lutnick’s violation, there is now no one to head the Office of Government Ethics. The director of the office was fired by President Trump along with 17 other inspectors general in February, removing them from their oversight roles without providing a reason.

Still, Kedric Payne, general counsel at the Legal Campaign Center, a nonprofit watchdog group, sent a letter to the government ethics office on March 21 calling for an investigation. He added that a TV appeal could prompt more officials to ask people to support other businesses and products. “If there are no consequences, you’re in a dangerous area of corruption,” Payne said.

In fact, the US Commerce Secretary’s pitch is the second endorsement for Tesla, after President Donald Trump.

AP notes that when it comes to endorsing a product, presidents tend to be more cautious and opinionated. For example, former President Ronald Reagan called marshmallows “the perfect snack,” while John F. Kennedy called United Airlines “reliable.” Meanwhile, Mr. Trump lined up five Teslas on the driveway of the White House. He then got into the red Model S he had been eyeing and lavished praise on Musk’s company.

“Presidents are allowed to express their personal opinions about products they like or dislike. But what Mr. Trump has done is turn the White House into a backdrop for advertising the products of a private company,” said ethics lawyer Kathleen Clark.

After the Tesla incident at the White House, Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and three other senators wrote a letter to the Office of Government Ethics calling for an investigation into Elon Musk. They argued that presidents are exempt from ethics laws, but Elon Musk is not.

A spokesperson for Warren’s office said the Office of Government Ethics has not yet responded to requests for comment on Tesla’s future plans. It did not comment on Warren’s letter or Secretary Lutnick’s television appearance. The Commerce Department did not respond to a request for comment.
