Angel Reese takes Knicks-Nets game in courtside as she preps for WNBA draft
As Angel Reese prepares for Monday’s WNBA draft, she took in a fun game at Madison Square Garden.
The LSU star and soon-to-be professional rookie, who is projected to be a first-round pick, sat courtside to watch the Knicks outlast the Nets at the Garden on Friday night, 111-107.

Reese is projected to be selected as a mid-to-late first-rounder, according to several mock drafts, but her perimeter proficiency has come into question when assessing what she’ll do in the WNBA.
Reese only shot 5-for-32 from 3-point land in her college career, hitting 15.6 percent of her shots.

Reese, however, was seen shooting NBA-range 3-pointers at New York’s famous gym, Summit, on Friday.
She also worked a pre-draft “shift” at Raising Cane’s in Manhattan, telling The Post that she’s excited about her basketball future.
“I’m gonna be a rookie in a big league where there are a lot of women out there that have been great before me, and they set the tone. I’m going in with respect for who they are and what they have done…” Reese told The Post’s Bridget Reilly. “I know the game is about to go crazy. I know the viewership is going up and I’ve been seeing all the things on social media like how it would elevate that, even if it’s just the rookies, being able to give that publicity to the vets because they do deserve it.”
Reese is one of 15 players who were invited to attend the draft at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on Monday night, a list that also includes Iowa’s Caitlin Clark and South Carolina’s Kamilla Cardoso.
The 6-foot-3 forward was at the forefront of LSU’s 2023 National Championship run, as well as their surge to the Elite Eight this past season.
