Travis Kelce is now a three-time Super Bowl winner, having helped the Kansas City Chiefs to a huge win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
The star tight end has made it clear he has no plans to retire amid rumors the 2023 season might have been his last. Kelce did hint at possibly walking away from the game given the toll it’s taken on his body but, after winning the third championship of his career, he’s now after a threepeat.
“The goal’s always been to get three,” he said on the back of the 25-22 overtime win on Sunday night. “But we couldn’t get here without getting to two.
Kelce, 34, was pretty ecstatic after the win and is probably hoarse this morning as he screamed at the top of his lungs while addressing Chiefs Kingdom. He was also seen celebrating with his girlfriend Taylor Swift, who had shown him support throughout the season.
The Chiefs are now on the verge of an unprecedented threepeat and have some serious designs on becoming the first NFL team to win three straight titles. Kelce intends to play a part when they launch their assault on the third.
