We are just hours away from kickoff for Super Bowl 58, and it looks like we could be getting another Kadarius Toney rant based on the Kansas City Chiefs’ latest decision.
Prior to the Chiefs’ AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens, Toney unleashed a furious rant towards the Chiefs after he was deemed inactive due to an injury (as well as personal reasons. Tony went on to accuse the team of making up injuries so that they could bench him.
While some believed the comments would result in Toney being cut by the team ahead of the Super Bowl, that wasn’t the case. Rather, the troubled wide receiver returned to practice last week, and he even claimed that his viral rant was simply the product of some manipulation by artificial intelligence.
Well, fast forward to Sunday morning, and it looks like Toney could have more to say after it was announced that the Chiefs would make him a healthy scratch for the big game.
After scoring an important touchdown for the Chiefs during last year’s Super Bowl victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, Toney has struggled mightily during the 2023 season. It’s been a year plagued by drops and drama for the former first-round wideout.
And now, it looks like he won’t even get the chance to redeem himself on the biggest stage of them all in Las Vegas.
