Gemmell really played both parts simultaneously in the 2021 revival of the iconic children’s program My Mum Tracy Beaker, in which she resumed her role as Carly Beaker, also known as Tracy Beaker’s mom. A plethora of other legendary British TV series have featured the actress.
For eleven episodes of EastEnders, she portrayed Whitney Dean’s mother, Debra Dean. She was also a guest star in Doctors, Holby City, and Casualty. Season three of Bridgerton and the first season of the spinoff series starring Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton will also air in the near future.
