Brittany Mahomes’ trip to Mexico: That swimsuit! And is that Taylor Swift’s dress?
Brittany Mahomes — aka Sports Illustrated swimsuit model — created a buzz in Mexico over the weekend in a swimsuit held together with two gold-tone rings. But it was a minidress she wore that turned Swiftie heads.
Eagle-eyed fans of Mahomes’ new NFL bestie, Taylor Swift, recognized something familiar in a photo of Mahomes hugging a friend from Texas, Mallory Moss, who was the star of a bachelorette party getaway.
Mahomes wore a dress like one Swift modeled on one of the covers for Time magazine’s recent Person of the Year issue.
Oddly, on Sunday, Swift’s A-list bestie Blake Lively posted a photo of hubby Ryan Reynolds wearing a corduroy plaid jacket that Swift’s beau Travis Kelce has been seen in.
On the tight end, the jacket screamed lumberjack.
On Reynolds? Skateboarder.
“@AvrilLavigne dreams really do come true,” Lively wrote on her husband’s photo, linking Lavigne’s hit, “Sk8er Boi,” to her Instagram Story.

Back to the dress, Swift reportedly wore a long version of the dress, while Mahomes chose the shorter hemline for partying.
But … twinsies.
And it’s not even the first time. Remember the fuzzy red coat Swift wore in Green Bay that looked exactly like one Mahomes had previously worn to a Chiefs game?
The charcoal gray, crystal-embellished minidress came from the 2023 holiday collection of Area, a fashion label that Swift also wore to the Super Bowl. The body-hugging ponte jersey dress, with pyramid-shaped cups, retails from about $1,600 to $1,800.
The New York Times noted that about 30 minutes after Area ended a fashion show on Super Bowl Sunday, Swift showed up at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas wearing the brand’s “crystal slit jeans.”
“It was like a runway-to-real-life feature happening in actual time — or Super time,” the newspaper wrote. “Area, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, is generally one of those fashion week brands that most nonfashion people see and say, ‘But who would wear that?’
“Ms. Swift was the perfect answer. The designer Piotrek Panszczyk — and indeed all of fashion, which sometimes suffers from a clothes-concept perception gap — could not have planned it better had he tried.”
The New York Post noted that Moss and several of the other women on the bachelorette trip over the weekend were also at the Super Bowl.
Moss, a Texas native like Brittany and her husband, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, will marry one of Patrick’s childhood friends, Brennan McDaniel, next month. While the women were in Mexico, Patrick and Brennan were in Las Vegas for the bachelor party.
“But this was not a Super Bowl celebration, exactly. It was a bachelor party for Mahomes’ buddy from Whitehouse High School and Texas Tech, Brennan McDaniel, who was at the center of the party posse,” the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
“McDaniel’s image was shown on the club’s big screen behind the DJ stand. He is a lucky fella.”
