Jason Kelce Breaks Down Viral Video of Him Stumbling Into a Plant After Chiefs Won the Super Bowl

‘I did not fall into that plant,’ the Eagles center swears, asserting that there’s more to the story

Jason Kelce proves himself to be our favorite scene-stealer time and again, shining bright above the Kansas City Chiefs, brother Travis Kelce, and even Taylor Swift, as he partied the night away in Vegas in a Chiefs-colored Lucha Libre mask—a mask he happened upon on the floor of a night club.

The Eagles center joined Marshmello at the DJ table front and center at one club, where he egged on the crowd with his drink in hand. Each viral video—and there were many—emanated similar vibes, until one from the end of the night appeared to show the tight end’s older brother stumbling along behind the most famous couple in the world, seemingly losing his balance and tilting toward a tree before the clip cut out.

But, as we’ve already learned on this week’s episode of New Heights, everything is not always as it seems, and when one listener took advantage of the “No Dumb Questions” segment to find out if he did, in fact, fall into the plant, he was happy to dole out the facts.

“I did not fall into that plant,” he stated firmly, admitting that he “felt like…part of the [security] team” throughout the night.

“I would always try to flank Tay, and you, that’s why…where I’m like stumbling, I’m really trying to keep my position so that I can watch the right side,” he said. “I was just walking straight, but I was getting too close. As honorary security team member, I was trying to keep my distance to the right amount between Travis and Taylor.”

But it’s a harder job than it probably looked to him at first—especially who knows how many beers deep. In actuality, he joked he was “really honorary security disaster,” but it sounds like everyone was a good sport about it.

“Shoutout to the security team; those guys are awesome,” Jason added, while Travis agreed that the “studs” are “all good dudes”—even with Jason creating “such a compromising situation.”
