Reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterback talents the game has ever seen.
That fact didn’t stop Fox Sports analyst Skip Bayless from unleashing an absurd take about the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback before this weekend’s Super Bowl 58 contest.
“Why Mahomes is the game manager, not Purdy. Now on @undisputed,” Bayless wrote as a teaser for today’s show on X.
Understandably, Bayless is taking quite a bit of heat on social media for this take.
“You just be sayin anything to get folks to turn on the tv now,” one fan wrote.
“That is an insane take,” another added.
“Dumbest take I’ve seen this morning and I ain’t even watch the show,” another said.
Bayless clarified his comments during a segment on Undisputed, saying Mahomes has been solid but not spectacular so far this postseason.
Mahomes and the Chiefs will face off against Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers in Sunday’s title game.
