Stephen A. Smith is just one of the many sports media personalities who have become captivated by the rivalry between WNBA rookie icons Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

Smith has made his adoration of Clark well-known in recent weeks. And he echoed that sentiment during a recent segment that Smith posted on YouTube on Saturday.

“Props to Angel Reese for being watched,” Smith said. “But it’s also acknowledgement that Caitlin Clark is the Golden Goose.”

Smith later elaborated on his new nickname for Clark, saying, “Caitlin Clark is the Golden Goose, and Angel Reese has figured out a way to … utilize Caitlin Clark’s presence.”

People in the YouTube video’s comments sections are now roasting Reese.

“I don’t think Angel Reese understand yet that Caitlin Clark doesn’t need Angel Reese but Angel Reese needs Caitlin Clark name to get her notice,” one person wrote.

Another wrote, “Nobody’s tuning into watch Sky/Reese unless CC is involved. The jury has spoken.”

“When AR fill up arenas when she’s not playing CC talk to me, no matter what team CC is playing the arena is full of people. Can you say the same about AR?” a third said.
