Travis Kelce Offers Blunt Statement When Asked About Taylor Swift Engagement Rumors
Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII—and amid rampant engagement rumors—Travis Kelce offered a blunt statement about popping the question to Taylor Swift.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is preparing to face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Feb. 11, which is why getting engaged is the furthest thing from his mind.

“I’m focused on getting this ring,” he told reporters at a Feb. 5 press conference, when asked about an impending engagement to Swift. “That’s all my mind is focused on right now.”
Meanwhile, the pop superstar is fresh off the high of winning her record-breaking fourth Grammy Award for Album of the Year for Midnights. (She also snagged a trophy for Best Pop Album.) Kelce touched upon her Feb. 4 victory during the same press conference.

“She’s unbelievable,” he declared. “She’s re-writing the history books herself, and I told her I’d have to hold up my end of the bargain and come home with some hardware too.”
At the Grammys, Swift also announced her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, which releases on April 19. And Kelce revealed his unfiltered thoughts about the new music.

“I have heard some of it, yes, and it’s unbelievable,” he shared. “I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.”
