Who Do The Kansas City Chiefs Play Next Season? List of Kansas City’s 2024 Opponents
The Kansas City Chiefs are unquestionably the top team in the NFL. They went 11-6 during the regular season, leading to many calling it a “down year” for the team.
Furthermore, the Chiefs had to play in a road playoff game this year for the first time in Patrick Mahomes’ career. Yet, they still found a way to make it to Super LVIII.
After defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in the Super Bowl, Kansas City has won back-to-back titles and three of the past five. However, can they make it three in a row next year? Let’s look at who the Chiefs play during the regular season.
Who Do The Kansas City Chiefs Play At Home Next Season?
Kansas City has won eight consecutive AFC West division titles, as the rest of the division can’t keep up with the Chiefs. Therefore, no one should be surprised if the back-to-back Super Bowl winners sweep all three division rivals at home in 2024.
However, the rest of the team’s home opponents won’t be as easy. The Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Four of those teams made the playoffs last season. Furthermore, the Ravens and Bengals are two of the favorites to win the Super Bowl next year.
Who Do The Kansas City Chiefs Play On The Road Next Season?
Since the NFL expanded to 17 regular season games in 2021, the conference flips who gets the extra home game every other year. The NFC gets the extra home game in 2024, meaning Kansas City will have nine road games next season.
They will travel to face their AFC West divisional rivals. The Chiefs also will be on the road to take on the Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, and San Francisco 49ers.
While the Super Bowl rematch against the 49ers might be the most anticipated matchup for the team next year, Kansas City always has exciting games against Buffalo. The Chiefs defeated the Bills during the second round of the playoffs last season, thanks to two receiving touchdowns by Travis Kelce. Fans should expect the matchup between the two AFC powerhouse teams to be a nationally televised contest.
