Caitlin Clark Catches Strays After Sabrina Ionescu’s Impressive WNBA Game Against Sparks
New York Liberty star guard Sabrina Ionescu had per best performance of the season on Thursday.
During the Liberty’s 93-80 win over the (Cameron Brink-less) Los Angeles Sparks, Ionescu finished the game with 31 points, 9 assists, 2 steals and six made three pointers on 11 attempts.
While most of the women’s basketball community’s attention has been on this year’s rookie class, Ionescu had quietly been putting together the best WNBA season of her career thus far.
Yet, even though Ionescu’s performance had nothing to do with the most popular rookie of them all, Caitlin Clark still caught strays after Ionescu’s performance.

One X user replied to a graphic of Ionescu’s performance on Thursday by saying, “Sabrina>>>> Caitlin Clark”.
“She can do everything Caitlin can!” another fan wrote.
On a separate post of Ionescu’s Thursday night stats, someone wrote, “This is who we thought CC would be”.
And another fan replied by saying, “See kids, this is the real Caitlin Clark”.
Clearly fans are keen to compare Clark and Ionescu.
And luckily for us all, it’s a matchup WNBA fans will get to see for years to come.
