The back-to-back Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs haven’t made a ton of big moves in free agency, but they made a lot of key additions at various positions as they look to three-peat in 2024.

The Chiefs don’t have a lot of holes on their roster as they signed veteran receiver Marquise Brown to a one-year deal this week, which should be a nice complement to young wideout Rashee Rice. Kansas City also re-signed Chris Jones to a massive five-year extension and Drue Tranquill to a three-year extension.

Kansas City is in tremendous shape to return to the Super Bowl (+500 on FanDuel Sportsbook), but there are still a few free agents that the team should consider picking up as we head into the second week of free agency.

If Kansas City were to trade Sneed, who is playing on the franchise tag, there would be a major drop-off to the next option. The Chiefs could move Joshua Williams to Snead’s spot, which wouldn’t be a bad idea, who has appeared in 33 games in his first two years in the NFL.

If the Chiefs go that route, the former LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton could be a solid depth signing for their secondary. The 25-year-old defensive back hasn’t been re-signed by the Tennessee Titans, who only played in 12 games last season.

Chiefs add Travis Kelce backup in free agency

The 5-foot-11 cornerback played okay in 2023 with the Titans, recording 46 combined tackles, five pass deflections, and two tackles for loss. However, Fulton had his fair share of struggles in pass coverage, which was not an issue in previous seasons.

The former LSU cornerback posted a 75.4 completion percentage allowed on targets and a 114.1 pass rating allowed when targeted but only gave up one touchdown.
